    ProCharger 6.4L HEMI Tuner Kits
     A Tuner Kit is an excellent way to add even more power to modified and custom applications of the legendary 6.4L HEMI Charger. Tuner Kits require the purchase of a fuel system upgrade (injectors and fuel pump booster) and custom tuning.

     

    When trying to determine the most reliable and cost-effective method of adding horsepower to a HEMI-powered car or truck, one must consider the power adder that catapults the WORLD’S FASTEST GEN III HEMI to its 6-second passes. Thus, consider nothing less than a ProCharger supercharger of course! If Rob Goss uses ProCharger power to push his HEMI to record-breaking passes at the track, just think of what ProCharger can do to the HEMI in your very own garage.

    For years, the ProCharger HO Intercooled Supercharger System has been delivering big power numbers to hundreds of HEMI customers, but now the time has come for the next evolution of ProCharger power–the Stage II Dedicated Drive System and tuner kit for 6.4L/392 HEMI’s! So if you are aching for 800, 900, 1000, even 1200+ HP from your HEMI-powered monster, we have your solution.

    The ProCharger Stage II Supercharger offering features an all new 8-rib dedicated drive system and race intercooler upgrade for 6.4L and 5.7L (air-to-air race intercooler coming soon for 6.1L also). ProCharger designed this dedicated 8-rib system to have maximum belt wrap in order to support the truly power hungry. The bracket system fits head units up to F-1A-94 without modifications to the car, which means no cutting or trimming with a blower that can support 1,200+ HP! 

    Even though this system is perfect for “race” applications, it can still be used with a P-1SC-1 at lower boost levels for mild street applications. The OEM-quality fit and finish is what you’d expect from the ProCharger engineering department, as illustrated in the image below. 

    In order to support the power levels made possible by the Stage II System, ProCharger now also offers a Race Intercooler option for both the 6.4L and 5.7L HEMI platforms. Below is an image of this new huge intercooler mounted behind the factory bumper cover because, you guessed it, no trimming or cutting is required to fit this highly effective intercooler behind the bumper, thanks to a custom ProCharger design built just for this application. That’s great news for anyone who may want to return their car back to stock down the road.


     

    ProCharger intercoolers!

     The HO intercooler features a high flow, top-to-bottom core design that maximizes available airflow through the cars front fascia. However, for those pushing horsepower/boost levels, and wanting the largest air-to-air intercooler available for new HEMI-powered cars, the Race Intercooler option with its 970 cubic inch core is also available.

    Fuel Mileage and ProCharger…WHAT?!

     

    A supercharger will decrease the fuel economy of your vehicle, right? WRONG!!

    Although roots superchargers have significant parasitic load and do dramatically decrease fuel economy, centrifugal superchargers (like ProCharger) will yield approximately the same fuel economy as normally aspirated engines under normal throttle conditions. This means that after the installation of a ProCharger intercooled supercharger system, if you drive your vehicle in the same manner as you did before the installation, you should see no drop in fuel economy and in some cases customers with heavier vehicles have actually increased their fuel economy because of less frequent downshifts! However, the purpose of the supercharger is to get more air into the engine…and when you add air you must add fuel. So when you stand on the throttle and that impeller starts force-feeding your motor the air it deserves, your fuel system will allow more fuel in to create gobs of Grandma scaring horsepower. It is during those moments when supercharged vehicles see a drop in fuel economy.

    To explain further, a supercharged engine operates at a much higher power and efficiency level than a naturally aspirated engine. So why, under normal operating conditions, would making an engine more efficient decrease fuel economy?

    ProCharger has a large and ever changing fleet of test vehicles running the streets and race tracks every year. We use these vehicles to test everything you would expect from a company like ProCharger…durability, aesthetics, noise, drivability, power. What you may not expect is that we also collect fuel mileage data on these test mules. A small snapshot of some of our data is below.

    The majority of the above data was taken during mostly highway driving on the 2007 Hot Rod Power Tour. As you can imagine, fuel mileage was not the main concern of our drivers when cruising along side the amazing cars that grace the Power Tour. The Dodge Charger fuel mileage was recorded on a recent roundtrip from Kansas City to Tampa, FL. Also, keep in mind that the above vehicles are all stock with the exception of the intercooled ProCharger system. Your fuel mileage may vary depending on your vehicle combination and driving habits.
