     This system comes with 38lb injectors, a fuel pump and a programmer. It is meant for either stock or cars with just a cat back on them. The tune won't accommodate headers or other modifications.

    This system comes with the 6 rib blower belt assembly and the 3.5" twin intercoolers.

    When you buy a ProCharger kit you get to keep your air conditioning, it stays right where GM put it.

    Twin Highflow Intercooler System

    Intercooled supercharging is absolutely the most sophisticated, reliable and cost-effective method for substantially increasing the horsepower and overall performance of your LS1 Camaro or Firebird. ProCharger’s available Twin Highflow Intercooler System provides the coolest charge air temperatures in the industry for outstanding performance and engine longevity. The two intercoolers mount behind the stock front bumper cover and then feed the cooled charge air into a single air plenum before it enters the engine. For racing applications, ProCharger offers an optional single 3 core Race Intercooler, capable of supporting in excess of 850 HP.

    ProCharger's LS1 Tuner Kit is identical to the system, but omits fuel system upgrades and will require custom tuning by a qualified dealer. Realizing the performance potential of modified LS1 F-bodies, ProCharger also has an intercooled 8-rib serpentine drive race kit available.

     Advanced Design
     The patented SC design eliminates the need for oil lines and punching a hole in the oil pan. Additionally, instead of being forced to utilize heated engine oil or the grease in sealed bearings, SC ProChargers are lubricated with an extremely high quality synthetic oil which is specifically engineered for high speed use, and produces the least frictional heat and parasitic load. The self-contained design not only eliminates the heat that is transferred to a supercharger by engine oil in oil-fed applications, it also avoids the risk of clogged supercharger oil lines, oil drainage problems, or engine oil leakage.     Fuel Mileage and ProCharger…WHAT?!

     

    A supercharger will decrease the fuel economy of your vehicle, right? WRONG!!

    Although roots superchargers have significant parasitic load and do dramatically decrease fuel economy, centrifugal superchargers (like ProCharger) will yield approximately the same fuel economy as normally aspirated engines under normal throttle conditions. This means that after the installation of a ProCharger intercooled supercharger system, if you drive your vehicle in the same manner as you did before the installation, you should see no drop in fuel economy and in some cases customers with heavier vehicles have actually increased their fuel economy because of less frequent downshifts! However, the purpose of the supercharger is to get more air into the engine…and when you add air you must add fuel. So when you stand on the throttle and that impeller starts force-feeding your motor the air it deserves, your fuel system will allow more fuel in to create gobs of Grandma scaring horsepower. It is during those moments when supercharged vehicles see a drop in fuel economy.

    To explain further, a supercharged engine operates at a much higher power and efficiency level than a naturally aspirated engine. So why, under normal operating conditions, would making an engine more efficient decrease fuel economy?

    ProCharger has a large and ever changing fleet of test vehicles running the streets and race tracks every year.     The majority of the above data was taken during mostly highway driving on the 2007 Hot Rod Power Tour. As you can imagine, fuel mileage was not the main concern of our drivers when cruising along side the amazing cars that grace the Power Tour. The Dodge Charger fuel mileage was recorded on a recent roundtrip from Kansas City to Tampa, FL. Also, keep in mind that the above vehicles are all stock with the exception of the intercooled ProCharger system. Your fuel mileage may vary depending on your vehicle combination and driving habits.
