Tuner Kits: These kits make sense for someone wanting to perform custom tuning of the car and push the envelope in performance. Will most likely be experimenting with alternative fuels such as 93 octane, race fuel, E85 fuel, and methanol supplemental fuel. In addition, possibly changing engine components like heads, headers, exhaust, and cam for the engine.
A GROUND-UP SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED:
The engineers at GM dug deep when they did their update/redesign of these all-new trucks and so did our engineers here at ProCharger. Literally from the crank pulley, to the intercooler, tubing, and ECU tuning...everything for this new system is fully redesigned. Though the foundation remains the same in our amazing self-contained head units like the P-1SC-1 and P-1X (or larger for those with engine modifications).

Charge air cooling for maximum power gains on premium pump gas (91-93) is made possible with a massive front-mounted air-to-air intercooler.

10-SPEED TRANSMISSIONS = BOOST ALL THE TIME!
Since the blower doesn’t need to change speeds so radically on gear changes, due the more closely spaced gears, the transmission keeps RPM in the optimum range for a centrifugal supercharger where we make the most torque and power. It's almost like Ford and GM were building the perfect transmission for a centrifugal supercharger power curve, when they started the joint effort in bringing the 10LXX transmission to life. With 10 forward gears it's leaps and bounds better than the slush boxes of old, and they are especially good when used with boost. With little very little rpm drop between gear changes, this trans ensures you are making the most power, whenever you need it.
P-1X/D-1X High Efficiency Street/Strip Superchargers
The ProCharger P-1X and D-1X head units feature the robust, self-contained gearcase that is standard on most ProCharger models, but with a new aerodynamic compressor design that creates cooler charge air temperatures and more horsepower at the same boost level than our industry-standard P-1SC-1 and D-1SC. This higher efficiency design was engineered to be a bolt-in replacement for P-1SC-1 and D-1SC equipped systems and has even greater max-power potential.
These new designs are built on the same proven technology that propels the P-1SC-1 and D-1SC models to near 4-digit power numbers and slightly beyond, and feature the same step-up ratio. The compressor side of the supercharger (the volute and impeller) was redesigned with greater efficiency and less parasitic engine load in mind. This means less heat and less power needed to turn spin the impeller–and that adds up to more horsepower.
Both the P-1X and D-1X superchargers fit into the same brackets as P-1SC-1 systems and will be an optional upgrade for those who want increased performance on otherwise stock, modern V8 engines–to the tune of 10-15 more flywheel horsepower at the same pulley size (with stock motors running standard boost levels)!

Craven Performance & Off-Road reported 32 mpg at 75 mph on their 2006 Z06, which produces 1,014 RWHP with 19 psi and 93 octane pump gas.
ProCharger’s own 2009 F-150 has also been used for extended towing duties to national events. For example, towing an 18 foot enclosed trailer heavily loaded with supercharged Harley’s and display material, this truck regularly records 13 mpg and thanks to 425 intercooled RWHP, handles the trailer with ease. Not towing, the supercharged 5.4L consistently records 22 mpg on the highway.
The Most Power and Best Performance
Intercooled ProCharger systems deliver the ultimate performance and power increase for towing, daily driving and sport truck applications. Compared to all bolt-on aftermarket superchargers, ATI's superior technology delivers more low-end torque and substantially more total power than any other supercharger system. In the lower rpm towing range, Intercooled ProCharger systems will deliver more rear-wheel torque because the intercooled charge air is extremely dense (virtually at ambient temperature), the engine is running full timing, and the P-1SC consumes far less power than positive displacement superchargers. At mid-range and higher rpm, in addition to making more power per pound of boost (due to the same combination of greater air density, full timing and less parasitic load), an Intercooled ProCharger system is also able to safely produce more total boost, thanks to the coolest charge air and exhaust gas temperatures in the industry. The net effect is a substantially larger increase in air density, which in turn produces a substantially larger increase in power. History and physics show that applications without intercooling must run unsafe boost levels or octane-boosted fuel to perform even close to an Intercooled ProCharger system.

Stock or modified, for towing, daily driving, or racing, Intercooled ProCharger systems deliver far more performance with far greater engine reliability than any other supercharger system or power adder such as nitrous oxide.
The Best Engine Reliability and Drivability
ATI introduced the industry's first intercooled supercharger system nearly 3 years before its nearest competitor, and is the only company that offers air-to-air intercooled supercharger systems for trucks and SUV's. Other companies' non-intercooled and air-to water supercharger systems are typically tuned at the edge of detonation, which leaves you little margin for error. However, because air-to air intercooling removes the heat which causes detonation, you can safely run far more engine-friendly intercooled boost with full timing and complete peace of mind. With air-to-air intercooling, there is no need for "band aids" such as ignition retard, over-rich or auxiliary fuel injectors, or water injection. There is also no need to buy exhaust gas temperature (EGT) gauges because intercooling means that exhaust and overall engine temperatures remain stable even during extreme towing, racing and/or summer heat conditions. The intercooler system, which is standard equipment, simply rejects far more heat than it will receive from the highly efficient P-1SC ProCharger. Intercooling is clearly the fundamental solution for reliable high performance, because it substantially improves both engine reliability and power output. That is why intercooled forced induction is the high performance technology of choice for millions of factory OEM vehicles worldwide.
