    Fuel Pump Module with Piggyback
    Pump Connected

ATI 3FPFP-001 - 05-10 Mustang GT 4.6 Fuel Pump Bag

Remove the driver’s side fuel pump
    module access hatch. From inside
the fuel tank, carefully remove the
    fuel transfer hose, pump electrical
    connection, and fuel pump module.

Mount the piggyback fuel pump to the
fuel pump module. Place one rubber pad
between the fuel level sending bracket
and the fuel pump module, and another
    rubber pad between the piggyback
pump and the fuel level sender bracket.
The piggyback pump must be carefully
positioned so that it does not interfere
with the crossover tube or fuel level
    sender.

Cut the stock corrugated plastic fuel
hose and insert the plastic tee. The cut
must be centered on the smooth section
of the fuel hose for the tee to properly
    seal.

Connect the plastic tee with the
piggyback pump using the supplied 5⁄16”
    rubber hose and hose clamps.

Note: wire colors may vary, the pumps
    are wired in parallel.

Cut the fuel pump wire and splice
    as shown. The connectors provided
    are combined heatshrink/solder. The
connectors require a 1,500W heat gun
to activate the heat shrink and melt the
    solder.

Warning: Do not use an open flame
    to activate the heatshrink/solder
connections. An open flame can ignite
    fuel vapors!

Verify that all wires and fuel fittings are
    connected. Re-install the fuel pump
module in the fuel tank. The fit is very
tight! Be careful not to damage the
fuel level sender or other components.
Connect the internal crossover tube. It
will require two people to re-install the
metal retaining ring. Dropping the fuel
tank from the vehicle makes installing
    the module easier.

If you do not have an optional Flow
Charger, replace the stock fuel pump
fuse with the provided 20A fuse.
    (See page 1 for location)

    Warning: An improperly sealed fuel
pump module may leak fuel. Verify the
o-ring is not damaged and that the
retaining ring is fully seated in each
    groove.
